Most years we manage to have a combined birthday party for Chance and Darby, as their birthdays are 10 days apart. This year, by some logistical miracle, the kids had their three uncles up for the weekend as well!

My brother Kristian (aka uncle Khicken) actually managed to surprise us all which was just so fantastic! The weather was lovely and a great time was had by all of course. Uncle Jacques gifted Darby a hat similar to his own, the Darby always borrowed when he visits. Darby absolutely adores it and wears it every chance he gets!

I absolutely love these parties. Even though every year it’s at the start of a crazy busy time of the year, this is the stuff that matters. These are the memories I want to be making with my family. I feel so grateful for all the love that these guys have for my kids and I, and it’s a tradition that I will work to keep in the years to come.
