We got up on Sunday morning and packed up all our gear. It was honestly hard to leave the AirBNB as we were feeling very at home there! We jumped in a maxi Uber and headed to K&K’s place to drop off all our gear, and see Aunty Kate finally!! We then headed to a park nearby to meet up with Chance’s Godfather Dr Luke and his beautiful family.

We then got to have some lovely time with Aunty Kate, and went out for sushi for lunch.

I then sent Chance and Quinn on the train to meet up with Nathan and Eliana back at PAX for a few hours. They had such a great time there with them. Marty and the boys and I headed over to Marty’s sister and partner’s place to settle in for a couple of nights there. Chance and Quinn caught the train and met us out for dinner which was very cool and independent of them. We had a great dinner at their local pub then came back to play some card games. Such a fun night!

Monday was a nice chill day. We couldn’t quite decide what to do, but ended up going to the movies to see Kangaroo. We were the only ones in the whole cinema and it was such a great movie! We then headed down to a local parkland, which is actually under Marty’s sisters’ jurisdiction as a Park Ranger. We had such a lovely time wandering around, enjoying the gorgeous sunshine.

We were happy to head home and just chill out for our final night in Melbourne. I made Mexican for everyone, after which Marty took the kids out to the playground for a play until it got dark around 8:30pm! We played some card games and just hung out and it was a really lovely end to an incredible holiday. The next morning we said goodbye to Marty as he headed to work in town for the day, and we packed up to start our journey to the airport for our afternoon flight. Chance and Quinn took the train into Southern Cross Station so I could just order a small Uber for the boys and I. They were quite confident catching the trains on their own by this time. We checked in our luggage with a minding service, and got to have one last hang for a couple of hours with Nathan and Eliana. Bonus time with these guys before they were due to head overseas later that week.

So yeah! That just about wraps up our amazing, much-anticipated holiday in Melbourne. Time with family is so special to me, and it meant the world that everyone made time for us. Like proper time. Not just an hour catch up. Down time where we can just be with people we love and appreciate in our lives. Thanks for the memories Melbourne. Until next time xx
