School holidays have been and gone (how??) and we had a wonderful fortnight doing ALL THE THINGS! Let’s get into it!
We spent four days in the first week up at our beloved fishing shacks on the Burrum River. The weather was spot on and the fish were biting. What more could we ask for!?
We arrived on Wednesday, and one of Mum’s cousins was there with his partner and four of her grandkids, aged 7, 9, 11 & 12!! Can you even believe it! They are really lovely kids and they all got along so wonderfully from the minute they all met!
The following day, my friend Sian came up with her three kids, and Marian came up with her four for the day! There were kids and fish and fun everywhere! Chance normally cooks pancakes for everyone at least one morning, and I think he actually did it every morning this year! Scrabble and Jenga always get a lot of play time at Pizzeys.
We headed over to a different sandbar this time which was heaps of fun and a nice change. Marty came and joined us on Friday – unfortunately none of his boys could make it this year – but we did have Marian’s two boys stay with us which was fun! The only hiccup was a bit of overnight vomit action from one of the boys but thankfully he made a full recovery after some rest at home!
So once again Pizzeys has delivered wonderful times and lasting memories, and I can’t wait to start my next paint by number with a photo from our special place.
